The purpose of this course is to introduce the LCT students about the life and ministry of Apostle Paul. The course is designed in a way to understand the life and achievements of Paul in a historic perspective, and then understand his New Testament writings with the basic knowledge of each church or individual Paul addressed. In this course, we shall start with the basic lectures on Geography of the South Europe, North Africa, Near Asia, Israel and Mediterranean Sea. We shall briefly have an overview of Paul’s mission trips in the book of Acts to understand the world of the time. In the final part of the course, we shall have an overview of the Churches Paul wrote letters to. The course shall enable a student to have a brief overview of the life and ministry of Paul as penned in the book of Acts. The course will help the students to recognize the different social contexts in the light of historic events and how they impact the themes that base the events occurred in the pages of Holy Bible. The course strives to help students develop the skills to relate the truths of Bible and translate them according to their culture/need. A special emphasis of this course is to urge the students to turn to the New Testament and read it cover to cover. Evaluation will be carried out during the classes by means of assignments, quizzes to recapitulate and revise, and the exam will be held at the end of the course.
